The privacy of what it links to, however, is determined by the sharing settings you've chosen on that specific platform (like Google Photos, Spotify, etc.). We always recommend reviewing your link's settings to ensure your story is being shared exactly as you wish. Only those who can scan the artwork or are given the link directly will be able to access it.

For those who have chosen a custom story page built by our studio, we take an extra step to keep your memories intimate. We specifically label your site so that public search engines like Google know not to include it in their search results. This ensures your personal page remains unlisted, creating a private space that is still wonderfully open for sharing with any friend or family member who scans the key on your artwork.

My phone isn't scanning the key. What should I do?

Don’t worry, we can usually solve this with a few simple adjustments. Here are a few things to try:

  • Check the Lighting: Good, even lighting is the most important factor. Try to avoid strong glares or shadows cast directly over the key. Soft, natural light from a window is often perfect.
  • Find the Right Distance: Hold your phone steady and parallel to the art, about 6-12 inches away, then slowly move it closer or farther away until your camera focuses.
  • Clean the Lens: A quick, gentle wipe of your phone's camera lens with a soft cloth can make a world of difference.
  • Tap to Focus: Open your camera app, point it at the key, and then tap the screen right on the code. This helps tell your camera what to focus on.

Can the links in my keepsake be updated after I receive my art?

Because this process involves personal attention from our studio to ensure it's done perfectly, there is a small fee for this service.
